This Sunday we are having our annual Super Bowl party. We will meet in the fellowship hall at 6:15. Bring $3 to cover the cost of pizza. Girls bring a drink and guys bring a snack to share. This is a great way to invite your friends. The gym will be open as well and you can play basketball and 9-square. We will also have video games, board games and ping pong in the fellowship hall. The game will be on the screens in the gym and the big screen in the fellowship hall. We will have a devotion at halftime. Hope that you can make it!
Alright, we got the week we wanted for Caswell! We will be there the week of June 24th – 29th. With that being said we need to start getting your deposits in. Caswell deposits are due by Sunday, March 24th. The deposit amount is $160. The remaining $100 is due by June 16th. I will be sending out the paperwork as soon as I get it from Caswell. This year at camp we will be looking at making sure our spiritual life is founded on the truth found in Scripture over our feelings. This promises to be a great week, you don’t want to miss it. I still have a couple of extra spots, so if you have a friend or know of someone in the youth group that isn’t going reach out and offer it to them.
It is time once again for our annual Junior/Senior Bible study. This year we will be working through the Experiencing God study. This is a great study that will surely challenge you and cause you to look at your life and purpose a little differently. We will meet on Thursday nights at 6:30 starting February 21st at the Carmona’s house. This is a big commitment, if you can’t make it most nights you do not need to sign up. If you would like to be a part of this sign up in the youth hall or the lobby of the chapel. Looking forward to seeing what God has in store for us this Spring!
Harvest Day is Sunday, October 28th. Harvest Day is the day we celebrate our church’s birthday, this year we turn 172! We will only have one service on Sunday at 11:00. After worship there is a free lunch with tons of awesome desserts. This is just a great chance to hang out and relax with everyone. That night there will be no youth activities (youth choir, hand bells, or community groups). Instead, Matthew Smith will be at Salem in concert. This will be a great worship experience and we want to have as many people there as possible. You can buy tickets here for $5 or you can buy them at the door for $8. Hope to see you there!
We are so excited to start up a new series simply titled Holy. We will be looking at the command “Be holy for I am holy”. We will talk about what it means to be holy, how we can be holy, how to live a holy life and why we should try and follow this very tough command. Make sure you are in the chapel Wednesday nights in November, you don’t want to miss this!
